selfie fail

I’m not a great photographer — I don’t have much access to willing subjects and I find my arms aren’t long enough to take decent selfies. :)

Besides that, I’m far more turned on by beautiful words than beautiful images — it’s just how my brain is wired. But that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy perusing photos, and I certainly enjoy Molly’s Sinful Sunday project, along with all of the beautiful images the participants produce.

I was honored when Molly asked me if I’d like to judge a Sinful Sunday, and I was eager to put my own spin on it. In hindsight, perhaps I was too eager, as it seems I inadvertently talked Molly into letting me create my own prompt (thank you Molly!)

So, here it is. If you’re the picture-taking-type, head on over to Molly’s Sinful Sunday Prompt page and submit some of your sex-fail photos, unsexy photobombs, or selfies-gone-wrong. :)

Sinful Sunday Monthly Prompt 5

A great sense of humor is sexy! And thank goodness — with the faces we make, the noises we produce, and the occasional sex-fail related mishaps, mistakes, and injuries, sex and play can be unintentionally hilarious.
Whether it’s with someone you just met or a long-term partner, the laughter we share is a product of intimacy, and for many, intimacy is one of the most important parts of a satisfying experience.
This month’s prompt is all about the laughter. Whether it’s a ridiculous ‘O’ face,  a poorly aimed implement, or simply the joy that comes from sex, play, and pleasure, this months prompt asks you to think about what makes sex joyous, fun, and sometimes even funny.
(Be sure to consider your photography fails, too! Perhaps you caught an extra pussy (cat!) or a photobombing dog in your sexy-time photo. Maybe you didn’t realize your child’s toy truck was in the frame when you photographed your butt plugs, or maybe that hot pic you wanted to send to your partner ended up looking more like a blurry flesh-colored amoeba than a sexy selfie. Consider including those photo fails as Sinful Sunday submissions so we can share the laughter!)

Head on over to Molly’s Sinful Sunday Prompt page for more details! I’ll be judging the entries and posting my commentary on the selections at the beginning of the month. I’m excited!

Thanks again, Molly! You’re the best!

  1. Ooh, nice prompt! I’m rubbish with images too, and can’t take a decent photo to save my life, but I love perusing the Sinful Sunday pics, and I reckon this prompt will get some really interesting images. Always impressed by how imaginative and pretty the images are, and naturally I trust your excellent judgement – looking forward to seeing the results!

I hope so. :) I hear you on the bad photography skills. I imagine some part of me wants to see other people’s photo-fails just so I can feel a little bit better about my own. :)

Cheers to Molly, of course, for being such a good sport about it!

  2. Haha! I have had sooo many fails! Only
Problem is they’ve all been deleted! It’ll be hard to get new ones without planning them! It’s like wen you try not to notice pregnant chicks and that’s all you see! Ack!

I’m sure no one would mind a creative reenactment, right? ;)

What, huh? I’ve heard that about Volvos, but never about pregnant women… perhaps I’m out of the loop?

  3. My best fail was taking a selfie after my first Brazilian. Not only did my snatch look angry but, unbeknownst to me, my daughter’s doll photobombed it which I failed to realize until after I had sent it to three of the sexiest men I knew. It was the most uncomfortable/mildly creepy photo I’ve ever taken, and I will never forget the text response, “um Heather, are you into dolls??” So very failed…

There’s no fail in having an angry snatch. ANGRY SNATCH IS ANGRY!!! For the record, I envy your bravery in trying to photograph your angry snatch (Snatchsquatch?) — mine won’t stand for such a thing — it thinks if someone photographs it, they’ll steal it’s soul.

(Okay, maybe the little girl’s doll was a fail, but that makes it all the more interesting, right? ;D)
