Artist Josè Rodolfo Loaiza Ontivero’s pieces from his project “Disenchanted,” “seek to demystify the modern fairytale.”

First, I do take issue with some of the language presented in the description of his gallery showing. I’m not sure that any of the situations he presents for the characters are “antithetical” and certainly not “perversion.” I think the gallery might have better served the project by focusing more on the ubiquity of heteronormative cultural narratives and less on some perceived oddity of anything that might be viewed as transgressive.

The suppositions in the description about truth and lies and fantasy and reality are presented too uncritically for my liking, but I appreciate that the project itself seems to invite viewers to problematize these sorts of false binaries on their own.

But second, and more importantly, how fucking beautiful are these images? Three cheers to Josè Rodolfo Loaiza Ontivero for making iconic images so  sexy.

  1. I have been browsing on-line more than three hours as of late, yet I never discovered any
fascinating article like yours. It’s lovely worth enough
for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made excellent content as you did, the web
might be a lot more helpful than ever before.
